Psalm 91 - The Most Powerful Shield of Spiritual Protection

Psalm 91 is a well-known and beloved psalm in the Bible. It is often referred to as the “psalm of protection” or the “psalm of safety,” as it speaks of God’s promise to protect and defend those who trust in Him.

The psalm begins with a statement of trust in God’s protection, declaring that those who dwell in the shelter of the Most High and rest in His shadow will be secure. The psalmist goes on to describe the various ways in which God will protect His people, such as shielding them from deadly diseases, protecting them from harm and danger, and sending His angels to watch over them.

Throughout the psalm, there is a strong emphasis on the importance of trust and faith in God. The psalmist encourages the reader to trust in God’s promises and to have faith that He will provide protection and safety.

The final verses of the psalm contain a declaration of God’s faithfulness and a promise of salvation. The psalmist states that God will rescue and honor those who trust in Him and that He will satisfy them with long life and salvation.

Overall, Psalm 91 is a powerful reminder of God’s promise to protect and defend His people, and it encourages us to trust in His faithfulness and rely on His strength in times of trouble.

Likewise, the Theologians who have studied the subject point out that Psalm 91 is the most powerful song, benefiting those who invoke it.

It works because in the past when humanity suffered from plagues, it was invoked with positive results first and eliminated that pandemic.

Unfortunately many people also believe that God heals all who ask in the way they tell Him to. God does not abide by our rules. My 9 year old and I both deal with moderate to severe asthma. It is my responsibility as his mother both to protect him and to protect my health so I will be around to care for him. The kill rate of this virus is not the only consideration. The American Journal of Medicine posted last month a study that states the severity of the virus, if contracted, is shown to be less severe, with fewer lasting side effects when the viral load is reduced by mask wearing and social distancing. Our health, our medical bills and our comfort are in a better place when we do this simple thing. This is wisdom, not fear.

I had a son who spent 2 years in hospital with Asthma. Stopped breathing twice. Had a trac (tracheostomy) , so I know about Asthma. I would not stop believing for his healing!!!! When he finally was released from the hospital, he came home with the trac ( tracheostomy) and 11 medications , but I refused to give into his sickness but declared healing over him everyday. I believe in being as "wise as s serpent and harmless as a dove," like the bible says. Yes, we are to use wisdom, but NOT TO WALK IN FEAR! We were told to expect him not to make it a number of times, so I know what your saying BUT God's word supersedes the Medical diaganosis! He is married with the 2 most beautuful children. Was a youth pastor for over 10 years and works for a large company n travels worldwide. GOD IS OUR HEALER!!!!!!!! He does heal ALL of our diseases!

Life is full of pitfalls and snares, and we often make wrong choices, but it is comforting to know that no matter what trials we may be called upon to face, or what foolish choices we have made in the past, we can go to the Lord and ask Him for godly insight and spiritual understanding, and He has promised to give us all that is needed for the task. How much we all need God’s heavenly wisdom in the tests and trials of life’s disappointments and difficulties, which are so much a part of our everyday lives. And we should never waste the circumstances of life, but ask for His wisdom as well.. so that we may grow in grace and spiritual understanding knowing that all things work together for good to those that love God and are fitting into His plan.

I believe that Isaiah 53 prophesy what Jesus was going to suffer for all mankind forgiveness for sin and by His stripes we are healed Jesus fulfilled it In the gospels,Peter saw Jesus suffered and died on the cross after Jesus was beaten and whipped with stripes on his back and Peter wrote in1Peter 2:24. So I believe, and I was healed from a lot of hereditary diseases. He also forgive us all our sins. Praise the Lord.

I have memorized Psalm 91 in its entirety along with my husband. It has been a source of strength and confidence for both of us. God healed me from a deadly disease, from asthma ,prediiabetes, Restored my marriage, remarried my husband and I have many more to share but these are more than enough to say that God is faithful to fulfill his promises. His promises are in Him yes and amen and He watches over his word to perform and there’s no word from Him that will fail. The stood on his promise, By his wounds , I am healed 1Peter 2:22 and amen am I he all d who heals you, Exodus 15:26. I’m sharing th we with you so that God will be glorified and others may hope and trust that God is our healer and he listens. He is alive and still healing and restoring lives.
