To you will I call, O Lord,
my rock; do not ignore me,
lest, when you
remain silent in front of me, I become like those who go down to the pit.
Hear the voice of my prayers when I cry out to you,
when I raise my hands to your holy temple.
Do not drag me along with the wicked
and those who do iniquity,
who speak peace with their neighbors,
but wickedness is in their hearts.
Give them according to their work
and according to the wickedness of their deeds;
give them according to the work of their hands;
give them what they deserve.
Because they did not heed the deeds of the Lord
and the work of his hands,
he will tear them down and not build them up.
Blessed be the Lord,
who has heard the voice of my prayers.
The Lord is my strength and my shield;
my heart trusts in him and helps me,
so my heart rejoices,
and with my song I will praise him.
Jehovah is the strength of his people,
and the saving refuge of his anointed.
Save your people and bless your inheritance;
uphold and exalt them forever.
Psalm 28 Meaning
The meaning of Psalm 28 is very interesting, it tells us about those people who will not be welcomed into God’s people, and those who will. The Psalm tells us that faith and good works will be the key to being in the family of God and that those opposite evil works will lead us to the path to Satan.
