QUESTION: WHY DOES GOD RESIST THE PRIDE? James 4: 6 (ESV) “But he gives more grace. That is why he says: God resists the proud, and gives grace to the humble " When God resists the proud, it is because they are placed in the opposite direction to God's plan, and they conduct themselves guided as beings superior to others, when in essence they are made on an equal footing, with the same characteristics: soul, body and spirit. . (In the soul is the center of our emotions; will, desires and thoughts. The body arises from the dust of the earth, soma, or flesh, and the ruhaw in Hebrew, breath, pneuma in Greek, or spirit, of God, where life comes from). Our rebellion leads to anger and pride. That pride leads us to believe ourselves superior to others. We often get irritated with others over something simple. That anger is sometimes expressed in acts of violence with which we wish to destroy the opponent. James tells us about God's RESISTANCE towards these people. Let's read: “But he gives more grace. This is why he says: God resists the proud, and gives grace to the humble. ”James 4: 6 (ESV) • Pride is rooted in anger A person who practices pride, gets easily irritated, assaults, insults, VERBAL and PHYSICALLY at others. In his anger, he suspends his ability to reason, giving way to pride. At any time, he attacks against the other person who has committed a small fault, because the arrogant person always finds fault in others to vent his anger, and very seldom recognizes his mistakes. • The other reason why God resists the proud is because he LONGS FOR PEACEFUL COEXISTENCE AMONG HUMANS. He created us to live interconnected, with each other, in an environment of peace, love and collaboration. THE OPPOSITE WOULD BE OPPOSING YOUR DESIGN. And when we oppose his design, HE RESISTS our arrogance to believe we are above good and evil. In human arrogance, God resists the proud, and that resistance has the PURPOSE OF SOFTENING OUR HEART to DO GOD'S WILL, but pride makes us be rebellious and we continue to make mistakes with which we fall into the trap, which then makes us recognize that we have failed before God. So, WE ARE HUMBLED by divine resistance, because NOBODY CAN FIGHT and OVERCOME GOD. We are defeated by the pride that EMERGES from the HEART when we DO NOT want to follow the PLAN drawn up by our creator. "GOD RESISTS THE PRIDE" 1 PETER 5: 5. This verse shows us the sharp verdict of God, against the proud, because there could hardly be anything worse than the fact that God, not only WITHDRAWS His grace, but flatly opposes the proud. What are the symptoms of pride? Let's take an exam right now, 1- We get very upset when people pay us little attention. 2-We get upset when they make us wait. 3- We are very independent: We do not like to depend on anyone, we believe we are self-sufficient. 4- If they forget to praise us for an achievement, an award, a promotion, or a recognition; we get upset. 5- We get upset if friends forget our birthday. 6-We tend to question superiors and we think that we should be in their place: (this is what Satan did when he was a cherub.) 7- We want them to take us into account in everything. 8- We always want to be right in everything. 9- The opinion of others is little. 10- It is very difficult for us to forgive and ask for forgiveness: never! 11- We are arrogant and haughty, answering or responding, we do not allow "anyone to pass over us." 12 -We find it difficult to recognize before people the beauty, ability, talent, of another person or we never do. 13- It is very easy for us to ridicule others, make fun of us or be ironic.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Father of mercies and God of all consolation, who consoles us in all our tribulations, so that we too can comfort those who are in any affliction, giving them the comfort with which we ourselves we are comforted by God. (2 Corinthians 1: 3-4) How does God comfort us? He does this when we sincerely seek Him through prayer, reading Scripture, listening to the indwelling Holy Spirit's leadership, through godly friends, and sometimes even through a providential event. Once we have experienced God's compassion and comfort in the midst of a trial, we are better equipped to minister that same comfort to others. We know what it takes, by God's grace, to help others who are suffering; and for comforting those who have problems; We glorify God by giving insight into how He comforts those in distress. The comfort we receive as Christians flows through us to others “so that we too can comfort those in any affliction, giving them the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God” (2 Corinthians 1: 4). Like grace, comfort is an active and powerful gift that is not only received but is actively shared with others, supernaturally multiplied to advance the kingdom of God. Paul delighted and had reason enough to regard God as the source of true comfort, as all Christians should. There is no real source of happiness but God; and He is able and willing to impart comfort to His people. He promised and sent the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, to accomplish this in us. Please remember that there is no amount of human suffering that can exceed or exceed the resources in the heart of God to bring comfort, sustenance, and grace for us to endure. We must never doubt whether God is up to the task of providing what our soul needs most to survive, even prosper, amid the worst anguish and difficulties imaginable. It was only because Paul trusted that God's comfort equaled and exceeded his suffering that he was able to pass that comfort on to others when they faced similar trials, perhaps even more severe than his own. Nothing in Paul's life was construed as existing or produced exclusively for himself. It was to help others, just as Christ gave Himself, and so should we. What kind of comfort do you get from your faith in God? From your personal daily relationship with God, how could you share the blessing of this type of comfort with a family member, friend, or coworker who is currently suffering? What words of comfort can you bring to others? Here are some: “The Lord will go before you; He will be with you, he will not leave you or forsake you; do not be afraid or coward. " (Deuteronomy 31: 8) “May the mercies of the Lord never end, for His goodness never fails; they are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness! " (Lamentations 3: 22-23) And Jesus said: “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give you; I don't give it to you like the world gives it. Do not let your heart be troubled or be afraid. "(John 14:27)

Genuine Faith produces fruits which is good works,.. Even you pray this prayer a hundred times if it's not genuine. You will only have a false assurance of going to heaven.... Ephesians 2:10 [10]For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them... Goodworks is not the root of salvation, but the fruit of it....
